The Controversial "Too Sweet" Gesture in the World of Professional Wrestling
The well-known "Too Sweet" is perhaps the most controversial gesture in the world of sports entertainment, all because WWE decided that the sign was their property and ordered The Young Bucks, and consequently the Bullet Club, to stop using it immediately. Just a few days later, AJ Styles and Finn Bálor performed their own Too Sweet at WWE TLC. Was Vince McMahon behind all of this?
That's what many believe, as there seems to be some animosity between the Jackson brothers and WWE's Chairman, which not only led to the Bullet Club losing their signature gesture, but also resulted in Jimmy Jacobs losing his job. Just a few weeks after these events, a series of coincidences led to the two most prominent leaders of the faction having their first encounter in WWE, which ended with the aforementioned Too Sweet.
A particular Twitter user suggested that Vince McMahon had planned Bálor and Styles' Too Sweet as a form of revenge.
"Vince McMahon really flew AJ Styles from Chile to Minneapolis at the last minute, just to throw a televised middle finger in the Young Bucks' face. Honestly, pettiness goals."

"Whether it was a joke or not, this tweet reflects the idea that many fans had about the gesture, which immediately became an iconic image and is even the cover photo of WWE's fanpage on Facebook at the moment."
Nevertheless, it seems that Styles' arduous journey, his great match against Bálor, and the sign of respect between them were not a Machiavellian maneuver planned by the Chairman. AJ Styles himself was in charge of debunking this speculation.
"Now you know..."

"For your information, Luis, Vince had nothing to do with the Too Sweet between Finn and me. In fact, I say that we were two men showing the world that we haven't forgotten where we come from. We will always love our brothers from the Bullet Club."
So the discussion is closed. Vince McMahon may have enjoyed it, we don't know, but it wasn't a trick on his part and, in any case, the Bullet Club should feel nothing but satisfaction for having such illustrious leaders.
