While the SmackDown cast is on their tour of South America, the Raw cast appeared last night at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The scheduled main event was The Shield vs. Braun Strowman, Cesaro, and Sheamus, but because Reigns was one of the Superstars believed to have meningitis (and WWE confirmed it was mumps after some tests), he was taken off the card, so the match was only two on two, so Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose had to defend the Raw Tag Team Championship against Sheamus and Cesaro.
Backstage, Rollins and Ambrose found out that Kurt Angle will accompany them on Sunday in their match against The Miz, Braun Strowman, Kane, Sheamus, and Cesaro, and this is what they had to say once they returned to the locker room:
ROLLINS: "You know what? No one in the world was looking forward to the TLC main event more than me, and I'll tell you why. Because for three years, I've been yearning to stand in the same corner of the ring with my brothers and do the best we know how to do: Destroy anyone who stands in our way! This isn't fair."
"Now we'll have to move forward without Roman Reigns, but Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle is in. I don't know if he'll come as the General Manager or not, but The Shield has a specific way of fixing things, so he better get ready and lace up his boots."
AMBROSE: "Tighten your boots, Kurt, because you're going into a war zone. And since you're still the General Manager, why didn't you add five more guys to the team? At this point, I don't give a damn about anything."
"We're going out there with our shields on, because this Sunday, at TLC, it's do or die!
The results of the event in St. Louis are:
1- Bayley and Sasha Banks defeated Alicia Fox and Emma with Bayley's Bayley to Belly (Dana Brooke was the special referee).
2- Matt Hardy defeated Dash Wilder with the Twist of Fate.
3- Goldust and Titus O'Neil defeated Darren Young and Curt Hawkins (with Elias) with O'Neil's Clash of the Titus to Hawkins.
4- Braun Strowman defeated Finn Balor with a powerslam.
5- RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: Alexa Bliss retained by defeating Mickie James with the Blissful DDT.
6- WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Kalisto retained by defeating Enzo Amore with the Salida del Sol.
7- RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP, STREET FIGHT: Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose retained by defeating Sheamus and Cesaro with Rollins powerbombing Cesaro through a table and Ambrose elbow dropping Sheamus onto another table.
