Seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher was hospitalized on Monday in Paris to receive a "secret treatment," Le Parisien newspaper reported.
Michael Schumacher turned 50 on January 3, but has not been seen in public since he suffered an accident while skiing in the French Alps five years ago, which left him with serious brain injuries and in an induced coma for several months.

Michael Schumacher was taken to Pompidou Hospital in southwest Paris on Monday afternoon, Le Parisien said, without citing its sources.
The newspaper said the German will undergo a treatment based on a stem cell transfusion carried out by French surgeon Philippe Menasche.
A spokesperson for Michael Schumacher did not respond to a request for comment.
Michel Schumacher remains the most successful driver in motorsport, with a record 91 wins in F1 Grand Prix races. The German won his first two titles with Benetton in 1994 and 1995 before achieving five consecutive titles with Ferrari between 2000-2004.
In January, his family issued a statement saying that Michael Schumacher is in "the best hands".
