No obstacle to stop her! Athlete Verónica Huacasi won the silver medal.

Peruvian athletes continue to reap victories and win medals at the Cali-Valle 2021 Junior Pan American Games. This time, Peruvian athlete Verónica Huacasi Monte won the silver medal in the women's 3000 meters steeplechase.

Our compatriot completed a time of 10:39.70, finishing only behind the Brazilian Mirelle Leite Da Silva, who took home the gold medal by crossing the finish line with a time of 10:28:69. The podium was completed by the Colombian Stefany Paolo López Mendoza (10:47.82), winning the bronze medal.
