Back at the venue where he defended his titles in the 100 and 200 meters at the 2012 Olympic Games, the Jamaican star won the first heat with a time of 10.07 seconds, the eighth best; for the semifinal, Usain clocked 9.97; however, in the final stretch he didn't catch up with the Americans.

This time he didn't compete in the 200, his favorite event, and the definitive farewell will be with the 4x100 relay, on Saturday, August 12.
