Oliver Sonne started by making it clear that he would return to the national team if they call him again, as he loved everything that being part of the group led by Juan Reynoso meant. He also revealed that he did not get any minutes in this first call-up because he had previously discussed it with the coach.

"It was part of the plan. I spoke with the national coach before going and for me, it was important to feel and see everything because it was a cultural change," Oliver Sonne said to the Bold media outlet. However, what surprised many fans of the Peruvian national team the most was the comparison he made between Peruvian and Danish fans.

"There were little things like that all the time (which are different from Denmark). When we had to go from A to B, we did it with an escort of 10 to 15 police cars. It was right when we had to go to the training field. There was so much enthusiasm from the fans that the bus would stop if we stayed quiet," he said.

"It was a real madness, and there is a huge respect and love for the national team. It was a wild experience. There is also that in Denmark, but in a completely different way," Oliver Sonne concluded.
