The Peru vs. Argentina for the Qualifiers has awakened the energetic reaction of various figures linked to local football, one of them is Reimond Manco who showed great annoyance with the decisions and statements of Juan Reynoso. The former footballer criticized the coach and indicated that "he can't expose his players like that".

In the program "Cojo y Manco" via Youtube, the former footballer Reimond Manco shared his opinion with journalist Horacio Zimmerman about the Peru vs. Argentina match for the 2026 Qualifiers. They discussed various topics about it, but the most striking was the outrage of the former Alianza Lima player with DT Juan Reynoso for his statements after the match:
"What he declared post-match seems incredible to me, it's something that shouldn't be done. If it were true, which it's not, I'm sure it's not, you don't say that either. That was exposing players unnecessarily. Maybe he changed something, I don't know if his face, but something was different with Peru since they entered", said the current host of a Youtube program.
However, this was not the only statement left by 'Rei', as he later questioned Juan Reynoso's decisions because he doesn't understand them: "Putting in a Loyola, I don't know him and have nothing against him, but he's not even a starter in Cristal. So what is he talking about? He says: "no, I don't play them because in 60 minutes they are finished like Zanelatto, Reyna, Grimaldo", ok. Reimond Manco to Juan Reynoso: "You messed up"
During the program, Horacio Zimmerman stated: "It could be true, in fact, I think it's closer to the truth (about the level of players in Liga 1). But the most important thing is that you can't expose them after a defeat. You leave yourself in a good position and leave them in a bad position".
To which Reimond Manco replied: "You messed up. Basically, you said: "it's not my fault that they can only play for 60 minutes"".
