In the 92nd minute, coach Franco Navarro decided to make a substitution to "waste" some time and the player leaving the field was Mimbela, who tried to take off his shin guards on the way to gain some more time, but Ricardo Salcedo reacted in the worst way.
The Peruvian midfielder grabbed the neck of the ADT player until he fell to the ground and, later, Colombian Jimmy Valoyes gave him a push while on the floor in front of the referee's eyes.
These actions caused Willyan Mimbela's teammates to come to his defense, resulting in a violent confrontation between players from both clubs.
After several seconds, the situation calmed down and the match referee expelled Salcedo and Valoyes from Sport Huancayo; while Mathías Silvera received a red card in ADT. However, Mimbela was only cautioned with a yellow card.
