Sport Boys players perform well despite relegation threats
Despite Sport Boys narrowly avoiding relegation on the final matchday of the 2023 Clausura Tournament, some of their players had a good performance during the season. One of them was Fabrizio Roca, who signed a contract extension with the club after being the top scorer of the year.
Sport Boys extends Fabrizio Roca's contract
The Chalaco team announced through their social media channels that the contract extension will be for the next two seasons. "Until 2025. Vamos Boys for life," the club posted along with an impressive video featuring actor and former wrestler Dwayne Johnson, also known as 'The Rock'.

The 21-year-old forward had a contract with the Rosado team, but he had expressed his intention to respect his contract and then move abroad.
"Yes, I still have a contract until next year and I will respect it. I think most players are used to that, they have to go to teams like Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, or La U and leave from there (to play abroad). For me, that's not important, I believe I can leave Sport Boys for foreign clubs. That's why I want to continue with the team," he mentioned in an interview for the program 'Entre Ceja y Ceja'.

In his second season as a Sport Boys player, Roca has shown his best version as a forward, being the top scorer of the team with nine goals in 34 matches played.

The 2023 season was so good for Fabrizio Roca that Juan Reynoso called him up for the first time in his career to the Peruvian national team for the qualifying matches against Chile and Argentina.
