The new chairman of the Mexican Football Federation, Juan Carlos Rodriguez, spoke about the possibility of changing the television rights of the Mexican National Team in 2026, the year in which the current contract with Televisa and TV Azteca expires.
In the program Tercer Grado Deportivo, 'La Bomba' explained that the rights will be open to anyone who wishes to acquire them and will be granted to the highest bidder.
CENTRALIZING THE RIGHTS OF THE LIGA MX
Furthermore, Juan Carlos Rodriguez pointed out that he will seek to centralize the broadcasting rights of the Liga MX starting in 2028, although he emphasized that it will be difficult because some teams already have them sold until 2030.
However, he clarified that this measure would benefit all clubs and the league, as they would have better income.
