Federación Peruana de Fútbol (FPF) Statement on Second Raid
A statement from the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) was released regarding the second raid carried out on Wednesday, May 24, at the La Videna facilities as part of an investigation against FPF President Agustín Lozano for alleged criminal organization.
The highest authority in Peruvian football highlighted that, since the beginning of the investigations, they have been cooperating with the Public Ministry authorities in order to clarify the accusations against the current administration.
“The FPF has provided all facilities for the prosecutors in charge to access all requested information and documentation. Despite this, a new intervention was carried out today at their headquarters in La Videna de San Luis, in order to investigate alleged misuse of their facilities and assets,” the statement indicates.
The FPF also emphasized that it “enjoys full autonomy and independence in sports, administrative, economic, financial, and organizational matters according to its jurisdiction in accordance with the statutes, regulations, and decisions of FIFA and CONMEBOL”.
"Responsibility" is Demanded
The Peruvian Football Federation concludes their statement by demanding responsibility from the fiscal authorities in the exercise of their powers, competences, and functions “within the framework of the right to defense and due process, without affecting the image and respect of the institutions, as well as the individuals and athletes who are part of it”.
