Peruvian U17 selection: complete list of called up players
The South American U17 Championship of Ecuador 2023 starts on March 30th and all the teams from our region will fight for a spot in this year's World Cup to be held in Peru. That's why the Peruvian national team announced its complete list of called up players for the tournament.
As we know, the current Peruvian national team is led by Pablo Zegarra and he decided to call up three players who play abroad: Matías Barboza from Arsenal de Sarandí (Argentina), Felipe Chávez from Bayern Munich (Germany), and Philipp Eisele from Frankfurt (Germany).
It is worth noting that the Peruvian national team is part of Group B along with Argentina, Paraguay, Venezuela, and Bolivia. On the other hand, Group A is composed of Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, and Colombia. In summary, the Blanquirroja's group is the easiest.

- Goalkeepers: Jhefferson Rodríguez, Juan Durán, Ian Schimitschek.
- Defenders: Ghian Lucca Sotelo, Matías Barboza, Esteban Cruz, Bryan Córdova, Fabrizzio Baylón, Jair Moretti, Jhosenffer Yllescas, Jussepi García.
- Midfielders: Valentino Delgado, Felipe Chávez, Phillip Eisele, Kelvin Abad, Bassco Soyer, Brandy Paz, Yamir Del Valle, Thiago Salinas, Hiroshi Mejía.
- Forwards: Mateo Rodríguez, Víctor Guzmán, Guillermo Grández.
The national team will debut on Friday, March 31st against the Bolivian national team at 16:30 at the George Capwell Stadium.
