Pablo Zegarra was introduced this Thursday at Videna as the new coach of the Peruvian U17 national team, a position he assumed in a press conference alongside José 'Chemo' del Solar, the new head of the Youth Technical Unit, and Juan Carlos Oblitas, general director of the FPF.

"The idea we have is based on several similarities in terms of how to approach the improvement of the youth national teams. We are going to do important things. It takes its process, but we are convinced that successful work will be done," said the former Sporting Cristal coach.
"I had the opportunity to represent the Peruvian national team as a footballer, today I have a different important stage in my career," he added.
"Pablo fully identifies with the Peruvian national team emblem and is a very prepared person," valued Del Solar. "His work methodology is very aligned with what Juan Reynoso thinks. He fits perfectly with what we want to work on in the coming years," he said.
