In this regard, the governing body of world football specified that the tournament will be held between November 10th and December 2nd. During this time, the 24 participating teams (the 'Blanquirroja' has the guaranteed spot as the host, and the others are yet to be determined) will compete for the coveted trophy.

It is important to mention that this competition was supposed to be played in 2021, according to the FIFA schedule. However, the date was modified due to the pandemic.

Likewise, it is worth remembering that this will be the second time that Peru hosts the U-17 World Cup. In 2005, it was the host and was placed in the same group as Ghana, Costa Rica, and China, but was eliminated after drawing against the African team and suffering defeats against the 'Ticos' and the Asian team, respectively.
