The technical command of Juan Reynoso is preparing for the friendly matches of the September FIFA Date and this Friday the list of players called up was announced. In addition to the main roster, the coach announced a selective squad, which has been mostly made up of players from the Liga 1.
"We had anticipated this list, which aims to expand the universe of eligible players, who will gradually approach the elite selection, which will be playing against El Salvador and Mexico," said the new DT of the 'Blanquirroja' in a press conference.
In the same way, Juan Reynoso revealed the reason for this innovative call-up: "We will repeat this when we have the possibility of calling up during FIFA dates, when that option is not available, only the members of the Liga 1 selective will be included. The objective is for the young player who comes to train, along with the senior team, to become familiar with the methodology, with the competition against players from another league, who apparently are at a different level".
"At the same time, we want the players called up from abroad to know them, to identify them and to get closer to them. For me, that's what works best. I don't want a young player to start competing with someone who has already played in a World Cup, who is a star abroad, and who will be pressured to prove himself. The more we integrate them, the easier things will be," he concluded.
