During an interview for Willax Television, Carlos Zambrano stated that his retirement from professional football is approaching. "I am one step away from retirement, in terms of football. My family tells me, 'no, you have more to give', but there comes a time when your body asks you to stop", he declared.
"I tell my partner: 'I don't want to wake up, I want to finish this already'. I am 32 years old, I have spent almost half of my life outside the country, I want to relax, enjoy everything I have achieved," added 'El Kaiser'.
