As we reported here at SÚPER LUCHAS, Stardust injured his neck earlier this month, but this was only detected a week later.
Well, the WWE Superstars have been on a break for some time now and according to journalist Dave Meltzer from the prestigious Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are important updates regarding their health.
Stardust
His injury occurred on Monday, December 7, 2015, on WWE Monday Night Raw. He was sent home a few days later and on Monday, December 21, he was treated by the WWE medical staff backstage at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He was declared fit to compete, however, the officials and writers decided to give him more time to recover and not use him for the Slammy Awards 2015 shows or for the Super SmackDown Live! on Tuesday, December 22. He simply recorded a vignette or promo in the early afternoon claiming the Slammy trophy won by Stephen Amell.
King Barrett
King Barrett competed injured for the last time on December 8 at the recordings of Tribute to the Troops aired on December 23. He confirmed his neck injury and said he needed rest, despite that, he has appeared on screen with his League of Nations friends (Sheamus, Alberto del Rio, and Rusev). However, the latest reports indicate that the seriousness of his injury is "fairly serious" and that is why he is under medical review, waiting for possible surgery or, hopefully, a quick improvement and recovery.
No further details about this case were disclosed, but it is known that his television participation will be limited to avoid aggravating the damage to his neck.
