Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen suffered a hematoma in his left ankle during a practice and will be reevaluated in two weeks, the team announced on Saturday.

According to the Cavaliers, Allen will begin a period of treatment and rehabilitation after a magnetic resonance imaging at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health confirmed the injury on Friday.

Cleveland opens its season on the road against Allen's former team, the Brooklyn Nets, on October 25, approximately two and a half weeks from now.

Allen, 25, averaged 14.3 points and 9.8 rebounds in 68 games (all as a starter) last season.

Allen, an All-Star in 2021-22, has career averages of 12.0 points and 8.9 rebounds in 409 games (344 as a starter) with the Nets (2017-20) and Cavaliers.
