Paraguayan defender Omar Alderete could continue his professional career at AC Milan
The Paraguayan central defender Omar Alderete, currently playing for Basilea in Switzerland, could continue his professional career at the powerful AC Milan in Italy, seven-time champion of the Champions League.
Augusto Paraja and Renato Bittar, representatives of the defender, were present at Casa Milan on Thursday and met with officials from the Rossoneri team.
Basilea, which bought Alderete from Huracán in Argentina, is asking around 15,000,000 euros for the player, who has a contract until June 2023.
Blas Riveros, compatriot and teammate of Alderete in the Swiss team, is another name that Paraja and Bittar have brought up, but Milan has made it clear that they have no intentions of signing a left-back at the moment.
If it happens, Milan, where Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recently arrived, will be the fifth club in Alderete's career, following Cerro Porteño (2016-2017), Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata (2017-2018), Huracán (2018-2019), and Basilea.
