Jorge Fossati, who was the coach of the Uruguay National Team and achieved third place in the 2004 Copa America, was asked about Paolo Guerrero and did not hesitate to praise the 'Predator' and highlight his importance when he is in the area.
"Paolo Guerrero is a true leader on the field and a goal area assassin, where if you lose focus and the ball falls to him, it is difficult to stop him. He is a great concern for his opponents, and a great strength for his team to have him," he declared exclusively for RPP Noticias.
The current coach of River Plate in Uruguay also said that Paolo is a leader on the field. "I don't think there is much to add, (Paolo) is a player of tremendous importance for Peru not only for his play but also for what he transmits. He is a true leader on the field," he emphasized.
Jorge Fossati was in charge of Internacional Porto Alegre in the 2010 season. In addition, he has coached other important clubs in South America such as Peñarol, Liga de Quito, Cerro Porteño, among others.
There is no doubt that Fossati will be aware of what the Uruguay National Team can do when they face the Peruvian National Team on October 11th and 15th respectively in Montevideo and Lima.
