The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) issued a statement this afternoon stating that Edwin Oviedo remains in Switzerland and continues to collaborate with the legal defense of Paolo Guerrero in the appeal before the Swiss Federal Court.
"As part of the appeal process submitted to the Swiss Federal Court today, President Edwin Oviedo has provided a sworn statement highlighting the values, trajectory, and importance of Paolo Guerrero as a player for our Peruvian National Football Team," the statement said.
After the meeting with the FIFA President, Paolo Guerrero stayed in Switzerland and met with his lawyers to exhaust his last legal recourse. The 'Depredador' hopes for a positive resolution from the Swiss Federal Court in order to play in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
