During the press conference of the day, Wenger broke the silence and revealed that he was fired from the London club, contrary to what seemed like a personal decision.

"The moment to leave Arsenal was not my decision. I have already spoken about the rest," Wenger said, confirming that Ivan Gazidis, the club's chief executive, forced him to leave the club 12 months before the end of his contract.
