Dismayed by his unexpected departure from the Peruvian U-17 national team, Juan José Oré spoke out about his situation. The popular 'Jota Jota' was emphatic in stating that he was an obstacle for Daniel Ahmed, Head of the Youth Technical Unit of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF).
"For Daniel Ahmed, I was a thorn in his side, that is clear to me now. The issue was that whenever people saw me, they would greet me and ask me to go to the provinces to find players. The people liked me. But be aware, I never clung to the position, but at the very least they should have thanked me for the 17 years I was with the Federation. They were not gentlemen with me," said Juan José Oré to Toque & Gol.

A lack of respect
In this regard, Juan José Oré revealed that he was proposed to continue in the position only if he accepted a 60% pay cut. The youth coach considered this proposal as a lack of respect and decided to leave.
"They wanted to reduce my income by sixty percent and I was not going to allow that. Of course, later they would say 'the coach did not want to continue despite us making an offer'. One has dignity and deserves respect as a professional. I have achieved many things and that will always remain in my heart," said Juan José Oré.

Wishing Silvestri good luck
"He is a great guy and from now on he has the support of all of us who want the best for the youth national teams," said Juan José Oré about the appointment of Carlos Silvestri as the new coach of the Peruvian U-17 national team.
