In the independent circuit, the Swiss Claudio Castagnoli, better known as Cesaro, had a successful career before coming to WWE, where he is one of the most talented wrestlers, as well as one of the strongest physically.
Currently, Cesaro is the Raw Tag Team Champion alongside the Irishman Sheamus, and together they have had very intense matches, not only in PPVs, but also in weekly programming. They both push each other to the limit and with their strong style, they make their opponents have to give everything to keep up.
But before forming The Bar with Sheamus, Cesaro didn't want to be part of a team. He revealed this in an interview with William Mullally for Al Arabiya:
"Sheamus and I had a rivalry and then we became a team, and we went from being partners to becoming best friends. That's what makes this team so special and what makes the fans feel a connection with us because they were part of this journey that Sheamus and I embarked on."
Why he didn't want to wrestle in tag teams again:
"I've been lucky enough to have very good teammates. I was a team with Kassius Ohno as the Kings of Wrestling, and when I came to WWE, I partnered with Jack Swagger. I think we were the best team that never won the championship. Then, of course, when I was alongside Tyson Kidd, a stage that was tragically cut short after six months. I wasn't looking to be on another team, and I know Sheamus wasn't either, but now we are having the best time of our lives."
About his match at No Mercy, where his upper teeth sunk into his jaw:
"As soon as the blood started flowing, the truth is I got scared that they might stop the match. I hoped they wouldn't because it was a live broadcast on the WWE Network and it was for the Tag Team Championship, and that means a lot to Sheamus and me. My teeth went into my jaw and it hurt a lot, and I didn't know what I could do to feel better, so I thought, 'Let's continue and win this match.'"
