Stampede Begins Again at Impact Wrestling
Once again, the stampede has begun at Impact Wrestling. We have already reported on the departure of Rockstar Spud, and after breaking ties with Jeff Jarrett and GFW, the company has seen a lot of personnel come and go, including wrestlers, referees, agents, and office workers.
A NXT superstar and a former TNA wrestler could join 205 Live
In October of last year, Anthem Sport & Entertainment acquired the majority of what was then known as TNA, leaving its former owner Dixie Carter with a smaller percentage. This purchase prevented the wrestling company based in Nashville, Tennessee from going out of business.
As a new company in the wrestling business, they sought an alliance with Jarrett and his promotion Global Force Wrestling, which brought about significant changes in all aspects. However, they have been experiencing the departure of valuable people for months.
Following the departures of Rockstar Spud and Marshe Rockett, several more wrestlers are no longer with Impact Wrestling, including Knockout MJ Jenkins and referees Brian Hebner and Robert King.
Hebner said that his release was granted upon request and thanked everyone in the locker room.
Wanted to let everyone know that I have asked & been granted my release from @IMPACTWRESTLING! Thanks to my locker room, Ur the best! #123

“After a solid year of paying my own way to Impact Wrestling to try to earn a spot in the company, I have decided to move on. I feel like I will never get signed, and it is time to look for something more promising. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. Thank you to Earl and Brian Hebner, Brian Stiffler, and the men and women in the Impact locker room. I had the best time of my life and I have no regrets. I look forward to seeing all of you along the way in one form or another.”
Impact Wrestling is heading to Canada this weekend for the Bound for Glory event and the tapings of next week's Impact. The company will be using local referees for the shows to minimize production costs.
