The Dueñas Bridge is one of the few links between downtown Lima and the districts of the North Cone. And now the authorities have decided to temporarily close it, as a preventive measure against the increase in the flow of the Rímac river.

The foundations of the Dueñas Bridge have been weakened by the impact of stones and mud. The situation is alarming.

The police have fenced off part of the Dueñas Bridge to prevent residents from approaching the edges and putting their lives at risk, as was happening on the banks of the Huaycoloro River.
