Miguel Tudela

initiated the 2017 international surf season in Hawaii. This Thursday, the Peruvian surfer made his debut, finishing second in the third round of the Sunset Open at Sunset Beach. He will compete in this tournament until Saturday, January 28th.

Afterwards, Miguel Tudela will continue his Hawaiian journey in the 'Volcom Pipe Pro' to be held at Pipeline -- one of the world's most famous and dangerous waves -- from January 29th to February 10th.

Miguel Tudela was part of the Peruvian team that won the ISA World Championship held in August 2016 in Costa Rica. Last year, he also had the opportunity to surf in two of the best and most dangerous waves in the world, Jaws in Hawaii and Mavericks in California.

Through his official YouTube page, the national surfer shared a video clip that compiles the best of his performance in the past season.

During his recent vacation in Lima, Tudela took the opportunity to surprise a child from Punta Hermosa with a heartwarming Christmas surprise.

In 2014, Miguel Tudela received praise from idols like Kelly Slater and Barton Lynch when he finished second in the North Shore Surf Shop Pro Junior at Sunset Beach.
