Miguel Herrera violated the General Competition Regulations when he attended the press conference after the Xolos de Tijuana lost 1-0 to América at the Azteca Stadium.

'Piojo' was expelled by José Alfredo Peñaloza Soto in the 80th minute for complaining to the referees, and he allegedly shouted 'be fair' to the referee.

"It is normal for a team to get heated when the referee is not fair," said the national coach during his appearance in front of the press.

At the end of the match, the technical directors and/or assistant coaches who are occupying the position of the technical director due to a justified absence are obligated to attend the press conference, which, according to the protocol, must be held at the end of a match, under penalty of being sanctioned in accordance with what the Sanctions Regulations provide.

This provision does not apply to technical directors and/or assistant coaches who have been expelled from the match, so in such cases, they will not attend the conference and must remain in the dressing rooms or the team's bus.
