NEW YORK — As the Mets prepared to face the Red Sox in the first game of a three-game series on Monday at Citi Field, they’ll be without one of their sluggers in the lineup.
On Monday, the Mets announced that J.D. Martinez was being placed on the Paternity List. Outfielder DJ Stewart was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to take his place on the roster.
