MONDOVI (WQOW) - Two of the Buffaloes' best are back in town.

Tim Krumrie and Jess Cole saw their high school football jersey numbers retired Friday evening at halftime of Mondovi's game against Osceola.

After starring for the Buffaloes in the 1970s, both went on to play for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Krumrie later played 12 seasons in the National Football League, and coached professionally.

Former Mondovi head coach Jim Rose was part of the halftime ceremony.

Krumrie and Cole join Randy Krumrie as the only players in program history to have their jerseys retired.
