LA VALLE, Wis. -- News 3 Now visited La Valle on Wednesday, after nine Reedsburg teens were cited for allegedly harassing members of the Amish community in that area.
The Sauk County Sheriff's Office said said the teens shined lights into homes, knocked on doors and blew air horns. The incidents allegedly occurred between the hours of 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
News 3 Now spoke to two separate families that confirmed the teens targeted their homes.
One of the families, the Millers, said that their community is moving past the incident and is forgiving the teens.
La Valle's Amish community isn't asking for any donations and appreciates everyone's sympathy.
If anyone would like to support, a dinner is being held at Sunset Growers on September 11th. The proceeds will support a member of the Amish community that is in the hospital with a terminal disease.
