On Thursday, the individual time trial, a crucial stage of the Tour de l’Abitibi in Quebec, allowed riders to extend their time gaps. Ellande Larronde from Team France clinched the top spot with an average speed of 48.5 km/h, further solidifying his lead over second place. Oliver Scott from North Star Development Cycling and Canadian Carl Truffer took silver and bronze, respectively.

In the overall standings, Ellande Larronde retained both his brown and orange jerseys. Ben Morin and Lohann Vulliez also kept their blue and polka dot jerseys, respectively.

Stage 4 took place in Malartic. The riders maintained a high pace with a tailwind on the return, reaching speeds up to 65 km/h. A breakaway formed just before the Cadillac loop but was eventually caught a few kilometers before the finish line.

A new podium emerged on Thursday following this 4th stage. Colombian Victor Manuel Mendora Ruiz took the win, with Canadian Jonathan Hinse securing the silver medal and Gabriel Seguin from Team Quebec finishing in third place.

Despite this new trio of winners, the jersey standings remained unchanged from Stage 3. Larronde continued to wear the brown and orange jerseys, while the polka dot and blue jerseys stayed with Team France’s Lohann Vulliez and Ben Morin, respectively.
