Climate change talk
planned at college

Climate change educator Andrew Gunther will speak at Dominican University on Jan. 25.

Gunther will give a talk, “Preparing the Bay Area for Climate Change.”

The 7 p.m. event is hosted by The Commonwealth Club-World Affairs Marin Chapter. It will be held in the Creekside Room on the Dominican campus, 100 Magnolia Ave.

SAUSALITO

Burglars steal safe
from local business

Two suspects drove off with a safe they stole from a downtown Sausalito business early Monday morning, authorities said.

The incident occurred between 6:30 and 7 a.m. on the 600 block of Bridgeway. The name of the business was not released.

Sgt. Nick White said that one suspect entered the establishment and “prowled” the scene before he found the safe. He then dragged the safe outside, where a second suspect helped load it into a double–parked vehicle, White said.

Investigators reviewed security video footage and saw several pedestrians appeared to witness the crime. A description of the suspects or the vehicle have not been released.

Forum planned for
District 4 candidates

The Coalition of Sensible Taxpayers will hold a forum featuring candidates for the District 4 supervisor seat on Jan. 18.

Incumbent Dennis Rodoni and challenger Francis Drouillard will square off in the March 5 primary election. The 7 p.m. session will be moderated by Independent Journal columnist Dick Spotswood.
