Arnold, a five-star, was the No. 8 overall player in the 2023 class, per On3's Industry ranking.
OU head coach Brent Venables previously announced following the West Virginia game Arnold would be redshirting the remainder of the season, which is now burned with his appearance against the Cougars.
Arnold completed five of his nine passes for 33 yards. He also rushed eight times for 24 yards.
Gabriel didn't return and OU defeated BYU 31-24.
