After being accused of intentionally hurting Brian Rodríguez, América player, Jesús Gallardo denied the accusations against him and regretted the threats he has received.
The Rayados player took to his Instagram account, where he expressed regret over the injury to the blue-crested player, as well as informing that he has tried to communicate directly with him.
"I am a player who enjoys being on the field doing what I love the most, that is why I completely deny the accusations that have been made against me regarding the intention to harm him and I regret the statements made about me at the end of the match," he stated in a statement.
"I have tried to communicate through direct messages and by phone to tell him the same thing. I also want to add that I never had the intention of hurting him or anyone else".
Gallardo also mentioned that he had contact with Jonathan Dos Santos, who attacked him at the end of the game, in addition to the threats he has received on social media.
"I acknowledge and appreciate that Jona dos Santos has approached me in the last hours to apologize. I hold Jona in high regard for all the moments we have shared, and I took the opportunity to express exactly what I feel."
"Unfortunately, my family and I have been threatened on social media, which I hope does not escalate."
Rayados, in the afternoon, denied any violent act by their player towards the América player, and also disapproved of the actions and versions that emerged after the play, stating that it was an extremely accidental play.
Jesús Gallardo did not train with the institution on Sunday, however, he did not appear before the media present at El Barrial.
