Lavezzi suffered an accident during the match and worried everyone.

At the 63 minutes of the match between Argentina vs United States, Ezequiel Lavezzi reached top speed to try to control a ball on the side of the field and had an accident that scared everyone at the NRG Stadium in Houston. Ezequiel Lavezzi tried to chest control the ball and did not notice the advertising panel behind him and fell awkwardly on his back. The Argentina players immediately approached to see their teammate and some grabbed their heads in desperation. This gesture, for those who were witnesses from a distance, made them think that what had happened to Ezequiel Lavezzi was really serious. The desperate shouts of the paramedics asking for a stretcher added to this. However, a couple of minutes later, Lavezzi managed to stand up and lay on the stretcher on his own.

At the end of the match, the official Twitter account of the Argentine national team reported that Ezequiel Lavezzi suffered a luxofracture of his left elbow. He is likely to be out for a couple of months.
