On Tuesday, August 22, the renowned loretana singer died after undergoing a cosmetic surgery in a clinic in Iquitos. Problems during the operation caused Yuliana Perea to be transferred to a hospital in the city, where she would eventually pass away.

The multifaceted singer served as the dean of the College of Obstetricians in Loreto, while also being the vocalist of the band Electro Ritmo. Sadly, her death leaves behind her two children, who mourn alongside the obstetrician's mother.

After Yuliana Perea's death, her mother recounted how she learned the news and tearfully demanded justice for her beloved daughter.
"My husband received a call (to tell him) that our little girl died (…) I had no knowledge, no one knew. Not even her daughters knew. I always had fear, I heard that these things go wrong (…) The doctor is Jhon Casado. Justice is all I ask," she declared.
