Regatas Lima struck first in the grand final of the National Volleyball League and defeated San Martín 3-0 with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 25-21.
The team from Chorrillos thus started its path towards the championship and the pentachampionship, since 6 years ago they were not able to reach these stages, while the 'Saints' will seek a comeback tomorrow (Saturday, April 23) and thus continue the dream towards the trichampionship.
In the Regatas Lima team, currently coached by Spanish Francisco Hervás, they secured their spot in the final after eliminating César Vallejo, a team that last season kept the Chorrillos team off the podium, while San Martín, under the technical direction of Juan Diego García, has had a strong squad for several seasons.
San Martín has had an upward trajectory this season, after winning the silver medal in the South American Club Championship, the team from Santa Anita has the chance to take revenge this Saturday at the Eduardo Dibós stadium starting at 8:30 pm.
