In the morning hours of Monday, August 28, the Agua Marina group experienced minutes of terror after being intercepted by 15 armed criminals who intended to steal all the money collected in their last performance in Trujillo.

Around 8:45 a.m., members of Agua Marina were assaulted by 15 individuals who, aboard two trucks, stripped them of their belongings as musicians.
Using force and firing shots into the air with their firearms, the criminals threatened the driver and workers, including the leader of the group, 'Pepe' Quiroga.
It is suspected that the objective of the robbery was to steal the money collected during Agua Marina's presentation in Trujillo. This assault occurred on the Panamericana Piura - Chiclayo highway while they were heading to Sechura.
According to a reporter from Latina Noticas, the leaders of the group will file the corresponding complaint at the Parachique police station. Meanwhile, the National Police has deployed its personnel to apprehend those responsible.
On the other hand, it is currently known that there are no injuries; however, the criminals were able to take personal items, wallets, cell phones, cash, and musical instruments from Agua Marina.
