MLS 2022: Philadelphia Union defeats DC United with a 6-0 victory

In week 26 of the MLS 2022, Philadelphia Union secured three points by defeating DC United 6-0. The away goals were scored by Mikael Uhre (36' 1T), Daniel Gazdag (48' 1T, penalty), Julián Carranza who scored a hat-trick (1' 2T, 24' 2T, and 28' 2T), and Cory Burke (33' 2T).

A great play from Philadelphia Union at the 36-minute mark of the first half was what changed the score thanks to Mikael Uhre. With a cross from Julián Carranza, the forward connected with the ball in the penalty area and found the back of the net.

Both teams were saved by the post in the shots from Cory Burke for Philadelphia Union and the forward Taxiarchis Fountas from DC United.

DC United defender Sami Guediri humiliated his mark with a fantastic nutmeg at the 61-minute mark of the second half.

Referee Theodore Unkel was in charge of overseeing the game at Audi Field.

In the next fixture, DC United will face Atlanta United as visitors, while Philadelphia Union will play against Colorado Rapids at home.
