Tiene sus trucos. The latest edition of the All-Star Game, a match that brings together the stars of Liga MX and MLS, had Raúl Ruidíaz, the Peruvian forward, as one of its figures. The top scorer of Seattle Sounders came in the second half and didn't take long to score the second goal of his team from the penalty spot.

Regarding his goal, many believed that the Seattle Sounders forward was going to 'chip' the ball, as he had done on previous occasions; however, the 32-year-old player explained why he ruled out this option.

"No one peeked. It was my opportunity and thank God I was able to score. The most important thing is that we won. I have a friend who knows me on the opposing team and I thought he knew how I kicked. In fact, I thought I had told him, and that's why I didn't 'chip' it," he said in an interview with Area Sports Network.

Furthermore, he pointed out that he hopes this goal allows him to regain regularity. "I think that goal gives me confidence, I come from an injury that kept me out of several matches. This goal means a lot to me and it will give me confidence for what's to come," he added.

On the other hand, one of the absentees was the defender of the Peruvian national team, Alexander Callens. The center-back suffered a severe injury on the last day of the American tournament and couldn't accompany the 'Flea'.

"I sent him a message. I didn't know, I just found out on the same day. I sent him a message to recover. He's an excellent player," mentioned the former Universitario forward about his teammate in the Peruvian national team.
