On the afternoon of this Tuesday, June 28, the former president, Alberto Fujimori, was rushed to Hospital II de Vitarte due to an allergic reaction, as reported by EsSalud.

Fujimori is currently being treated by the attending physicians and transferred to the Intensive Care Unit due to his chronic heart problem that he suffers from.
The EsSalud statement indicates that the former president is being monitored for his health condition and the potential effects associated with the mentioned clinical picture.
It is important to note that Alberto Fujimori is serving a 25-year sentence for the murder of 25 Peruvians executed in two massacres by a clandestine group of military personnel with the logistical support of Fujimori during his 1990-2000 administration.
The former president will complete his 25-year sentence in February 2032, when he will be 93 years old. In addition, he must pay 13.6 million dollars for civil reparations for three other corruption cases.
