With just 25 years, Lana Rhoades has entered and left the porn industry. The eight months in the market have been enough for the now influencer to have psychological sequels such as depression and suicidal thoughts.
Amara Maple (Rhoades' real name) told the Daily Star that the "humiliating" scenes she filmed at just 20 years old made her suffer panic attacks, so she now emphasizes that there is "no amount of money" that would make her return to the adult film industry.
"It's a life sentence. I can't hide from it. Wherever I go, everyone has seen me in a movie and I have to deal with it," says Rhoades.
Lana worked as a stripper and flight attendant before diving into the porn industry. Now she dedicates herself to being an influencer and also shares photos and videos with her subscribers on her OnlyFans account.

Harmful scenes
Although she mentions that she was never forced to act against her will, sometimes she found herself in situations where she felt she couldn't say no. "I'm not saying all the scenes I did were horrible. But there are a handful of them that were enough to cause harm," she says.
"There were between three and five that were really traumatic for me, either because they sent me to a set with someone who was too old or because they pressured me to do something that scared me because it was too extreme, that can definitely be very traumatic," she continues.

Likewise, she pointed out that she is not the only one who has gone through these traumatic experiences. "I've had colleagues who have been pushed so hard that they passed out during a scene. There are really crazy things that damage people's bodies for the rest of their lives."

In January 2021, Amara Maple gave birth to her baby Milo. "6 days ago, I gave birth to my best friend in the whole world, my baby Milo. Every day since then has felt like Christmas morning. I love every second of being a mom and I feel so blessed!" she wrote on her Instagram account, according to TN media.
