Reinaldo Rueda, coach of Atlético Nacional, was emphatic in stating that the plan they have been developing during this preseason is based on continuity, since the working scheme used in the previous semester yielded many favorable results.
"The idea is to maintain the squad to a high extent, the style of play will be preserved. We will continue with our preparation, fundamental competitions are coming and all the players are willing and have a winning mentality," he commented to the media.
It was in this last point that he emphasized the most, since it is necessary for the athletes to be aware of the responsibility they will have from now on.
"With the list of selected players, everyone is eligible for the formation, work has been done with possible variables, projecting tomorrow's game. Everyone is willing and that is an advantage, we must have a lot of intensity to overcome this challenge," he asserted.
Regarding the arrival of Víctor Ibarbo, he pointed out that "the transfer has already been sent and it is a matter of hours for us to have the document and make it official with the Dimayor. We all know how happy Ibarbo is to return and we hope to have him."
Entering into the matter of the second leg of the Superliga, the coach of the 'paisa' squad explained that "Nacional always has the conviction and philosophy of going out to win in all the stadiums of Colombia. In the previous semester, we had to come back from several scores and it was done with a lot of application, now we must maintain the difference, mental control, and offensive play."
