Next, Liber details how you can have this amount in just three steps. Remember that this incentive is for employees in the private sector, as well as worker cooperative members and special regime personnel.

For the estimation of the Christmas bonus, the basic salary and all amounts regularly received in cash or in kind as compensation for work are considered as computable remuneration.

WITH JUST ONE CLICK

The National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sunafil) has enabled the new application 'CALCULATE YOUR GRATI' to referentially know the Christmas bonus that your employer must pay you. The process is simple and only takes three steps.

Users (1) must enter the application. Once the home screen appears, (2) they must enter their identification document data. In addition, (3) the RUC number of the company where they work or have worked, as well as other data from their pay slip.

Finally, by clicking the calculate button, you will be able to see the amount of the bonus that corresponds to you. The application will send this report to your email.

What factors should I consider?

For the delivery of the bonus, the time you worked and the extraordinary bonus must be taken into account.

If you worked the full semester (from January to June or from July to December), you will receive a full legal bonus, equal to your salary. On the other hand, if you were in the company for less than a full semester, you will have to make a proportional calculation, but you must take into account that only complete months worked will be considered.

Regarding the extraordinary bonus, it should be noted that 9% for EsSalud will be included in the bonus. While if someone has an EPS, they will receive a 6.75% bonus.

What happens if I don't get paid?

It is important to indicate that if the company does not deposit the bonus on time, it will incur a serious action whose sanction can go up to S/99,000. Additionally, another point to consider is that bonuses are exempt from payment of taxes, contributions, or any kind of discounts.

However, there are discounts established by law or authorized by the worker, such as the retention by judicial mandate, for example, in the case of a child support lawsuit, which is up to 60% of the total income.
