Jugador del Carlos A. Mannucci, remains hospitalized at Daniel Alcides Carrión Hospital after receiving four gunshot wounds in the shooting incident on Zarumilla street (Callao) that left one dead and two injured.

"Innocent people pay the 'price' for others. A dead child, my husband suffering without being at fault for absolutely anything, and yet, the damn criminals freely roaming, killing elsewhere", said Nohelí Castillo, the wife of the football player.

The 27-year-old midfielder, whose continuity in Mannucci had been confirmed hours before, received four gunshot wounds: two in the chest, one in the back, and another in a leg with both an entry and exit hole.

The doctors at the hospital in Callao are waiting for the inflammation caused by the bullets to decrease in order to remove them from his body.
