World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Updates Anti-Doping Rules
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) conducted a review and consultation with the anti-doping community, the Olympic Movement, and sports organizations to finally issue the new document.
The detection of prohibited substances and methods is updated with the introduction of new anti-doping rule violations, the use of data, the concept of social drugs, hearings, and result management appeals.
According to the world standard, doping is "the commission of one or more anti-doping rule violations, meaning the presence of prohibited substances, or their metabolites or markers, in a athlete's sample, as well as the use or attempted use of such substances."
It should be noted that the World Anti-Doping Code is the fundamental document on which the World Anti-Doping Program in Sport is based, and its update responds to the global challenges of the doping phenomenon.
