Moscow -
The Lokomotiv Moscow announced on Monday the death of the 22-year-old defender Innokentiy Samokhvalov during an individual training session, at a time when footballers, like the rest of the population, are confined as a preventive measure against the new coronavirus.
"He felt unwell during an individual training session. The circumstances of the footballer's death are being clarified," the Moscow club said in a statement posted on its social media.

Samokhvalov, who joined the club in 2015, had not yet made his debut with the Lokomotiv first team and was currently playing for Kazanka, the Moscow club's reserve team, which plays in the third tier.
"He was a kind and friendly guy, a good friend. It is a great pain for our entire family," added the club.
His coach at Kazanka, Alexander Grishin, told the R-Sport agency that the defender had died of a "heart attack". (D)
