Dutch athlete Sharon van Rouwendaal won the gold medal in the 10-kilometer open water swimming event at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The Dutch swimmerSharon van Rouwendaal, Olympic champion inRio 2016 in 10 kilometers open water, has come up with a clever way to train at home in an inflatable pool that is only two meters in diameter.

Tied to a tree by her waist, the swimmer makes an effort to take some strokes in a children's pool despite the low temperatures, as can be seen in the video she has posted on a social network.

Wearing a full wetsuit, the swimmer can only "train for 45 minutes in total because the water is very cold," added Sharon van Rouwendaal. EFE
