Interview with Soccer a lo Grande, on Monumental 1080 AM
The match observer between Fernando de la Mora and Ovetense, Salvador Aquino, confirmed that there was a transcription error in the Fernando de la Mora club's Comet system, which manages player data.
"I was one of the observers, it was our mistake, a typing error, we made a mistake. The delegate dictated it to me, I sent it wrong, I am very sorry for what happened. The game sheet is correct, but the Comet sheet is not, we made a mistake when transferring the data," Aquino, one of the match observers, said. This information will be provided to the Disciplinary Tribunal of the APF as evidence. Raúl Prono, president of the Tribunal, explained: "All of this will be subject to evidence in the protest summary. The observers will be summoned," he said.
"Fernando was notified today (Thursday), they have three days to respond," said Prono, who estimates that a decision will be made next week. Ovetense is requesting the points due to the alleged irregular performance of Carlos Paredes, whose data supposedly was loaded with another name by mistake from the observer's side, as reported yesterday. If Ovetense wins, they will stay in the Intermedia and Iteño will be relegated, otherwise the roles will be reversed.
